NAUTILUS DJ – Scheduling music, jingles, promos, and even inserting commercials in one powerful software

NAUTILUS DJ is a complex scheduling system capable of handling not only your musics, but also your Jingle sets, IDs, and even your NEWS and commercial inserts. Your songs can be assigned into categories, your categories can be sorted into groups of songs called folders. Each song can be assigned to as many folders as necessary.

Since 1994 we have developed the music scheduler with close connection of many different radio stations. To suit the needs our rule system contains rotational, and rule based scheduling, and not only for the musics, but for the jingles too. The songs, and jingles can be organized into folders, list, and you can apply rules within these folders. The freely definable packet sizes amongst the categories can help the entry level music director, and could be a very powerful tool in the hands of a pro.  You can define as many clocks, and weekly grids as required for your day by day scheduling. The software works perfectly with its radio automation part called NAUTILUS JUKEBOX.

For setting up the proper rules you always need to analyse the current rotation. Our music scheduler system will show you your rotational patterns. You can vary the number of songs in each category, and watch the effect the modification makes.

  • rotation of a single song, or all the song of a category
  • clashes between songs in different categories can be analised (Current, Recurrent, and New song from the same artist)
  • kicks can be added, and tested to get the best distribution
  • you can split positions among multiple categories to get a more even rotation

Cue Point Setup

Each sound file can have different cue points attached to them, which helps to work of the presenter.

  • Start
  • Cue 1, Cue2 are points to note where music changes and could be used for shortening the song.
  • Cue3 is usually used to mark the end of the intro.
  • loop – you can define a loop anywhere in the song, and the annoncer can use it as a bed
  • hook – you can mark the refrain, or the most characteristic part of the song to make the creating of teasers easier
  • Next Song – where the next song/jingle should be inserted by the automatic crossfade.
  • End -where the last usable bit of  the sound file

You can set crossfading parameters for your liners, sweepers, or jingles too, to make better segues.
